Interceptive Orthodontic Treatment

Image
Coleman Orthodontics Dr. Coleman can successfully correct most orthodontic problems regardless of the patient’s age. But that does not mean that the orthodontic treatment starting age does not matter. As with any decisions regarding health care, it is best to act when time is on your side. Two-phase orthodontic treatment is a specialized process that encompasses tooth straightening and facial changes.   As a child grows, both the upper jaw and lower jaw will grow in three dimensions. When to See an Orthodointist

Coleman Orthodontics It seems like braces and teenagers go together like peanut butter and jelly. But did you know that children should really be seen by an Orthodontist as early as age seven for an evaluation ? Or it may determine that early treatment is indicated to prevent or intercept more serious problems from developing. While your child’s teeth may appear to be straight, there could be a problem that only Dr. Coleman can detect. After evaluating your child, Dr. Coleman may simply want to monitor your child p...

Your braces may not be what you expected or wanted, but after a while when your teeth start shifting you will notice how incredible your teeth and smile alignment look. Pain may occur after your appointments, just give it a few days after each adjustment and you should feel more comfortable. Although the brackets have been rounded and smoothed, until the cheek tissues have toughened, you may find it helpful to use a small piece of orthodontic wax around the bracket that is creating the irritation. If your supply of wax r...

While it may initially sound great to save money by purchasing your orthodontic treatment online without having to talk to anyone at all, the reality is… the money you save today may end up costing you thousands of dollars in future corrective action. Before you decide to proceed with a direct-to-consumer orthodontic company, Dr. Coleman , his team , and the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) believe there are a number of factors and questions you may want to consider.  For example, in some instances direct-to-consumer orthodontic companies do not involve the in-person evaluation or the in-person supervision of your orthodontic treatment by an orthodontist. An in-person evaluat...
