Ageless Smiles

Coleman Orthodontics

Your teeth are probably the only thing on your face that won’t get wrinkles…but your teeth certainly do show signs of aging. So if you want to look younger and healthier, your teeth are a great place to start!

A beautifully straight, symmetrical glowing white teeth cannot only make you look younger, but they can dramatically improve your confidence. Even if you start out with perfectly straight teeth, something called mesial drift will cause them to shift over time. Crowded teeth are an instant giveaway of age and straightening your teeth can often take 10 to 15 years off your appearance. Crowded teeth also increase the risk of tooth decay, premature tooth loss, and gum recession, all of which guarantee looking old.

Orthodontic treatment can be successful at any age. At Coleman Orthodontics, we always enjoy working with adult patients and like the many options that we have to use in creating great smiles for them.

Many of our adult patients have traditional metal braces, some have tooth-colored ceramic braces and many are enjoying the esthetic benefits that Invisalign offers. We have also started to use a new system of treatment that enables us to place braces on the insides of the teeth. These braces are called Incognito Braces.

Incognito Braces are braces that are placed behind your teeth, so they are invisible from the outside. Unlike traditional braces, there’s a very low risk of white spots forming on the front of your teeth. These smooth, low-profile braces follow the contours of your teeth for maximum comfort and minimal interference with your speech. Unlike clear aligners, the Incognito System is always in and always working. That means you don't have to worry about removing anything when you eat or drink.

There are many more benefits to straight teeth than just esthetics. Straight teeth are easier to clean and care for. A good bite can prevent potential wear and tear on the enamel of the teeth and help the jaw muscles function better together. Give the team at Coleman Orthodontics a call if you think you'd enjoy these benefits and treatment options. We're always happy to answer any of your adult orthodontic questions!
