Invisible Braces

Coleman Orthodontics

Typically when we think orthodontics, we think traditional metal braces. And while technology has made many advances in traditional braces…there more options for achieving the smile you have always dreamed of.

The Invisalign System straightens your teeth without wires and brackets, using a series of clear, customized, removable appliances called aligners. It's virtually undetectable, which means hardly anyone will know that you're straightening your teeth.

Invisalign takes a modern approach to straightening teeth, using custom-made aligners created for you and only you. These aligners are smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible. Not only are the aligners invisible, they are removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment. Plus, brushing and flossing are no problem. Invisalign aligners are also comfortable, with no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment.

Invisalign also allows you to view your own virtual treatment plan when you start so you can see how your straight teeth will look when your treatment is complete. You will wear each set of aligners for about 2 weeks. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move little by little. You'll visit Dr. Coleman about once every 6 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time averages 9-15 months and the average number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30, but both will vary from case to case.

Did you know…

Only an orthodontist who has been trained and certified by Align Technology can diagnose and treat using Invisalign. Invisalign is not intended for children and is not appropriate for every adult. Only an orthodontist like Dr. Coleman can determine if this treatment is an effective option for you.

If you want straighter teeth but are concerned about how you'll look in braces...contact Coleman Orthodontics in Syracuse to talk to us about Invisalign!
